Ok, so I'm sure that those of you who have children or who have been around children will understand this....

I think you lose brain cells when you become a mom. Heck, I think the more you have the more you lose. I used to think I was reasonably intelligent. No more. My brain is mush. I have a hard time forming sentences. Ugh. I hardly read anymore, except for Dr. Suess books.

One of my favorite ways to unwind now is to lay in my bed and actually watch a whole episode of "Law & Order" without interruption! =)

I have 5 children and I do insane things like let 2 of the 5 have sleepovers...on the same night!!! What am I thinking?! Am I crazy?! Probably.

I guess it could be worse. I could be single, fit, read lots of "smart" books with intelligent titles....I could watch a Law & Order marathon whenever I want....but, I wouldn't have my babies. I wouldn't have my 4 year old tell me every day that I am the best mommy and she loves me the mostest! Sigh.

I guess I'd rather have a brain of mush, than not have my babies. I'd rather have put on that 5 lbs from too much movies and popcorn on our family movie nights. And, I think Eric Carle books are rather intelligent....Now, I'm off to catch up on some Wonder Pets episodes..... =)

Good Morning!

Ok, so I'm one of those people who are late on discovering the new "it" website. I got a Myspace account after everybody else did. I got a facebook account after everyone else. Blogging, yes, late. I have yet to do Twitter....I refuse (at least for now), but Pinterest, now that's another story. I kinda discovered it late. I had heard all of my friends talk about how great it was, how addicting, so I figured I'd not be a part of this....this Pinterst thing. But, my curiosity got the best of me..........

This website is so freakin' cool!! Why didn't I think of it?? I mean, I'm one of those people who have a corkboard over my desk and pinned to it is (gasp!) my favorite pictures, newspaper clippings, postcards, cards, fortunes from fortune cookies, a picture of a zombie with a lollipop drawn by my daughter....my treasures. So, now, I can show the world what great taste I have via a website.... ;)

The Mustache

So, I know that mustaches are very popular now and, although I'm not a huge fan, some guys can really pull it off....I thought it would be fun to feature some of my faves. Please comment if you like. =)

Now, I do have to mention my inspiration. My husband grows a beard (with mustache) every winter. It grows in nicely, but the mustache isn't too terribly thick...but not sparse ala Joe Dirt (hehe) ...anyway, we took the kids out to dinner and the manager there had a very enviable, thick mustache. It looked as if it would be a handlebar soon. It was so great that even Sam Elliot would approve.

Ok, so let me find some pics to post here....let's have fun with this shall we???

There were so many to choose from! This was really hard...there are blogs dedicated to mustaches...there are mustache clubs....oh well, I had some fun with it. =)

P.S. I think the boxer guy is pretty hot...yes, mustache and all. I just love the commercials.

New Items...

What's new....

Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I keep saying I will devote more time to blogging, but never seem to actually do it! =)

My house looks like it should be on Hoarders. I have items for the shop I need to store, Christmas decorations to put up, and a table full of items I need to photograph! I need a bigger house just so I can fill it with more stuff. ;)

I hope each of you with Etsy shops had some sales this weekend. I was very disappointed, I had 2 sales. I've had lots of traffic, lots of new admirers, but just the 2 sales. *sigh*

We'll see what happens in the next month. I am believing it will get better!

well, it's been almost a month since i've posted. my husband and i have been vending on saturdays and one of our kids started marching band this year, which has kept us super busy, and i had to go back to work part time. ugh. i need to post some pics! maybe i'll do better. =) juggling all of this stuff is rough! we have all this technology to make our life easier and it seems to make it more complicated. well, time to catch up on a little kristy time... =)

Mid Century Score

Well, I scored 4 mid century chairs for $55 tonight. Not too shabby. Three are in near perfect condition and 1 needs a little work, not much, just a touch up here and there. Hopefully I'll get some pics up in a day or so. I'd really like to feature a shop or two this week. Maybe that'll drum up some more followers. We'll see......
