Mid Century Score

Well, I scored 4 mid century chairs for $55 tonight. Not too shabby. Three are in near perfect condition and 1 needs a little work, not much, just a touch up here and there. Hopefully I'll get some pics up in a day or so. I'd really like to feature a shop or two this week. Maybe that'll drum up some more followers. We'll see......

Buying and Finding Goodies

My daughter and I went to my uncle's auction last week. I have been dying to get to another one ever since. I have had several "hookups" in the past week only to result in nothing. No vintage goodies. Nothing. Ugh. My only scores (good scores, even) were at the auction. I am supposed to go digging thru someone's barn on Sunday....oh, and be a vendor dowtown on Saturday. Maybe, it'll result in lots of money and lots of goodies....found cheap! Wouldn't that be wonderful?!

I will have to post pictures from the weekend...and maybe some of the auction scores. ;)

My bed is calling.....

Goodnight!

I have a confession to make....I am a 38 year old blogger virgin.....

Ok, so my 12 year old is teaching me how to blog. Funny, huh? I have an Etsy shop and figured it would be beneficial for my shop. Plus, I wanna be hip, ya know? Like, not technologically retarded....because I am. I have a love/hate relationship with technology. Some days I feel totally useless, as far as technology goes.

So, enough about my issues. I do adore vintage. I always have, even as a child rummaging through my grandmothers old clip on earrings or playing with my mom's minks that were her aunts. I love all kinds of vintage....all styles! Industrial, a little shabby, a little country, a lot of kitsch, and a lot of mid century. I think the 1950s is my favorite decade for style....waaayyyy before Mad Men. I bought my first pieces from the 1950s over 10 years ago and I still have them today. :)

So, I hope that you all will join me on my quest for new vintage items to admire.

Thanks for listening to my rambles.....
